ProprietariPeBune is a product built around a widespread frustration in the Romanian rental market: renting an apartment often requires paying up to three months’ worth of rent upfront, largely due to the dominance of real estate agencies and their fees. This created a significant affordability barrier for tenants and limited control for property owners.

I worked on this project strictly as a UI/UX Designer, collaborating closely with a Product Manager / Product Designer and the development team. My contribution covered the full product design lifecycle—from discovery and validation to MVP definition and interface design.

We began by validating the core assumption through a short quantitative survey, which confirmed the initial hypothesis around user pain points on both sides of the marketplace. Based on these insights, I designed early wireframes focused on the main user flows, then led multiple rounds of qualitative feedback sessions with both property owners and tenants. These interviews informed several design iterations and helped us prioritize features for an MVP that addressed real, recurring problems.

A key part of my work was mapping and designing flows that balanced trust, control, and privacy for both user types. For example, owners needed protection from unwanted third-party interference, while tenants needed clarity and fairness in the selection process. The resulting UX allows owners to stay in control of who can contact them, while enabling tenants to present themselves transparently based on relevant criteria—reducing friction and mismatched expectations on both sides.

Beyond product UX, I was also responsible for the full brand identity of the platform, including logo design, color system, visual patterns, and marketing assets. I supported the development phase with UX guidance and hands-on assistance, contributing suggestions—and where appropriate, implementation support—to ensure design and product intent translated correctly into the live web app.

The platform is under continuous development, has surpassed 5,000 registered users, and has secured external investment—validating both the problem space and the product direction.
